I thought you might check it out but being no.1 on practically everything leaves you no reason to give it a go and i'll bet you go and break my times because i hardly tried on levels 8 and 10 (i think thats right) for the no.1's and could have done better, level 10 score was only my second attempt, i was very shocked!. Just started 11 but i have no idea how you managed 11.33, if i can't manage it i'll have to steal a walkthrough. I would like to improve the level 9 though (whatever one when you need to get £30000), that level is such a mess with what order to build and keep the rating high and make enough money to cover the difference needed to win, i'd like to know your plan for that one.

This is starting to be fun again; I see you picked up a few more #1s, so I've started playing again. Someone on the Xbox Forums requested some video captures, so I've been trying to make those too (although they're torturous to watch hah)

Sadly, I discovered that my extensive notes on the levels have all been lost =( So, I'm starting from scratch too. I'll head back to level 11 and see what I can come up with. At current, I'm headed into Level 13 to try and take back #1, though =).

Good luck!

hm, I haven't played this game for quite a while =/
I guess I don't have a chance to beat the #1 times anymore... but it would be cool to see your videos danielshawn =)

You still playing GoW non-stop, Shr1mp? I >still< haven't played it! I promised my buddy I'd wait until I got back to California and play co-op with him. And I picked up a Wii recently, so Zelda has been keeping me occupied too =).

I'm sure you've got some #1s left in you, Shr1mp! Though, I find it's much easier to get back into it after taking a long long break (and then subsequently burning myself out on it! hah)

I did finish the first of the walk-through videos, though, for Adv Story Chapter 14. You can check it out on You Tube:

Take it easy! Back to the games...

I'm at work at the moment so haven't got time to watch the whole video yet but we start very differently and if you check out my time on 14 its a force to be reckoned with at 13.59. Got that this morning, might see if i can improve it later, please leave 13 alone i don't want to go back to it, its a nightmare, just leave the two seconds alone, i've left others like chapter 4. Also, i'm up to #1 on ch.3 which was excellent and i've taken back all the other ones you stole from me too (assuming nothings changed since i last checked). Now all i need to know is how on Earth you did ch 11, to be fair i haven't had a chance to go through it thoroughly but i just can't see how it can be done. I'll watch your ch 14 video maybe you've got something i'm missing there.

Also, hows Zelda going, its mostly quite easy but its a great game, its a shame its the only decent one on the wii at the moment, from what i've played anyway, Sports its great fun as well.

I have to confess, I was pretty blown away by the time you posted on Chapter 14. Ransom! is quite impressive, also. I'll go try Ch 14 again later; it didn't take many tries to post the old top time and the possible variation for completion is staggering. I'm already imagining some possible plans of attack lol.

The walkthroughs I'm posting are all just for people to be able to get gold medal times. Trying to capture a true time attack run would be hard for any but the most experienced to watch, since as you know, we have to fly through the menus pretty darn quickly.

Ch 13 Election is a nightmare, I agree. It's so damn fickle. You could do everything the same ten times and get ten COMPLETELY different results (as I'm sure you know lol) I won't be going back to it for awhile until I try out some of the other levels. I have a feeling it's just a matter of time before most of my other #1s fall. You seem to have a solid grasp upon the game a bit beyond the rest of us =).

I did re-attempt Ch 11, but didn't even come close to matching my best time. Even file recovery tools haven't been able to help me retrieve my lost notes, but there was some trick to it. The only thing I can remember for sure was that I definitely had a Chem Lab and I never built a repair station.

You're right that Zelda is pretty easy, but it's fun in a way that I haven't enjoyed in awhile. I never cared for Ocarina or Majora's mask, but this one takes me back fondly to the days of the very first Zelda =). I love the sounds that come out of the Wiimote lol. I played Excite Truck this weekend and enjoyed it, although I wouldn't buy it.

Is 10k one of the achievements in GoW multi-player? Hmm...in CoD2, I'd consider myself lucky to get 20 kills per 15 minute deathmatch. So, if I played four matches a day for 125 days straight, I'd get the achievement.
I'm going to wager that's an achievement that I will never get =).

Now you're talking, come back to OKX! Before Ninjabee puts out their new title and we all migrate to that one =). I still don't know what it's about, but I'm hankering for some RTS fun! Considering how successful and competitive the leaderboards have been with their first two releases, I have no doubt it's going to be more of the same with the new game.

Glad you liked the walkthrough! I've been working on walkthroughs for the rest of the Adventure Story Chapters today. Then I can go back to being competitive lol.

Ugh...it's killing me that I'm so back-logged with games too...and I can't get myself back on a Kaloki kick. And now you guys have destroyed my scores...

One day. :D

I'm so sad. I thought I had hit a once-in-a-blue moon homerun after improving Election by 35 seconds. Agius just improved it another 15 seconds. That's really amazing, man. Good job. It's incredible that a level I had previously thought so difficult has been improved, by almost a full minute within the last few days.

I thought the gods were raining kindness after they allowed me an 8:07 on level 1. It was the first time I'd played the level in ages and I didn't even do my best; I was capturing it for a tutorial and just messing around until I realized what was happening lol.

I'm watching the level 14 walkthrough now and I have to say this video tutorial is amazing! Awesome commentary and great strategy overview. Wow.

You go really really fast through the UI elements, but I think as a solid reference for how to do the level fast, that's the right thing to do. People can listen to your comments or review parts of the video if it went too fast for them to get it.

Also, nice singing. :)

My mistake i guess for admitting i didn't like no.13 so you went for it but i got very lucky on the first few attempts to get the rating up so quickly after i had finished building everything i wanted.

The ch.1 time is quite impressive , i'm not up for trying that yet as theres still the 8:11 to beat on there too so i'm going through the other adv. ones now, got ch.2 to 5 now as well if you want to get those back theres only a second or two in it.

Thanks, Stay, on both counts. I thought I was being generous going through the UI slowly enough hahah, I'll put up one of my best time videos where it goes much much faster lol =).

I didn't really target ch13 because you didn't like it lol, I just didn't have as many levels to try. I've tried level 3 about fifty times and haven't come close once. I ran ch 14 a few times (which I noticed you improved again!) and didn't come anywhere close either. I was successful on ch8, but I really hate ch 10-Deja Vu lol.

That 8:11 on ch 1 seems like an amazing anomaly, doesn't it? That one might stand the test of time forever. I've played that level at least a hundred times. Even 8:02 is a pretty rare achievement.

I improved my eight-port challenge time a bit, but am still not close to #1. I figure with your excellent ability at level 14, you'd probably be a good candidate to post a really impressive time on that scenario.

I don't know about the eight port, ran it once so far, got a gold but it just takes so long and i don't write down a plan for anything i just keep running them and develop a system as i go which is fine for the shorter ones but its a bit tricky to apply to scenarios, i'm saving them until last as i seem to be picking up new tricks re-running the missions, the newest i am employing now seems to be beating all the times, i haven't tried ch.11 yet but hopefully it will work, just need to get 7+8 first.

I love chapter 14, i took a very bold approach for the last part before leaving it to collect money and suprisingly it paid off better than i ever expected( i improved a time of 10.20 up to 14 on the first run) i'm betting you don't use it as even if you do badly you can easily get about 13 min. I reckon 14:00 could easily be beaten too as i've only run it a few times so i bet with good traffic it can be done. The problem for eight port is that you have so little space you need a very good system not like my ch.14 one which uses up nearly all the ports when building (Funnily when i first played ch.14 i got my #2 time and didn't even realise there was three rows of ports i just used the top 2), i like your idea of getting rid of the repair station to do the upgrades on the eight port though.

I really want to get into the war story as i haven't run any levels with a gun yet, once these adventure ones are sorted (except ch.1) i'll be straight onto them.

I have to admit there is a downside to all these #1's, the more i get the more addicted i become and then when there's competition too i just get even more determined. I've not dreamt about it yet which is a very good sign, i'll know i've lost it completely when i do.
