In case you were wondering what's coming out tomorrow (aka late late tonight) it's Assault Heroes from Wanako Studios and published by Sierra Online.

I played this at DigitalLife in NYC this fall. It was actually a pretty fun game. Not sure I'll buy it because I'm kinda looking forward to Mutant Storm Empires (which I also played at DigitalLife) and I liked it more. (They are both basically top down shmups that scroll from "room-to-room". Assault Heroes does have an interesting "in-vehicle" vs. "on-foot" mechanic that I thought was cool, but Mutant Storm Empires has a slick visual style and a complete lack of level to level loading times...it all felt seemless. Very cool.)

Anyone gonna get this one?

Man, I was so mad after all this ported games, and now I can't decide on them. Small Arms, RoboBlitz, and now this! For Christmas I am not going to ask for games, but MS points!!! Yay for the indie scene!

I really liked Mutant Storm Reloaded, but couldn't get myself to buy it. Maybe after I get my MS points that MS promised me they would send (I did what you did static) I will get a few games.

Yeah...I gave Mutant Storm Reloaded a second look the other day because I thought that Empires (the upcoming sequel) was so cool and I couldn't remember if I had liked Reloaded. Empires is (IMO) much cooler. And the streaming level loading is a great feature to keep you immersed in the game.

I haven't bought AH yet, but I did play quite a bit of the full game at DigitalLife and it was pretty fun. I didn't have the benefit of spending a lot of time with the instructions (or any training missions that might exist) so I had to learn on the fly and I think I missed out on some stuff, but overall it was pretty darn fun.

I bought it. It's really fun in short bursts. I'm #5 on the coop leaderboard, yay!

AC, I used the aformentioned points to buy it. They gave me 4000 pts after about a month of bitching by myself. I used some to rebuy Clyde and OKX. The rest are being saved for whatever floats my boat.

Lunar, I was there at DigitalLife! I also agree about Mutant Storm.

Now where is GeoWars 2?

I assume the 4000 pts you are talking about are from the "replacement console = no arcade for other tags" issue. I reported my issue two weeks ago and called them again at the end of last week. Guess I'll call them again this week and keep on them. For some reason they said that they couldn't find a record of me buying Geometry Wars. WTF?!? That was my very first purchase...and it's in my purchase/download history on my 360. Weird. I'm due like 3600 pts or something...

I am going to call back tonight. I still haven't had a reply either. They owe me over 4000, or so he told me. I will get RoboBlitz with it, maybe AH and SA too.

Keep on them...at one point they said they did not ever get a point return request.

I had to climb the ladder of authority to set them straight.
