Me too. Where is it? I have de-forested and de-jeweled and de-rocked the entire board. THERE IS NO BOOK!? Which means I cannot go any farther. Why would you guys make it THIS ridiculously hard to find a such a necessary item that is crucial to finishing the game?
1.) Yes. I have built all the building, even the freaking bear.
2.) Yes. Have searched under every removable object.
It's not there. It's not anywhere. 8 damn hours looking for this one object. Not fun, not even a little. At this point, I do not care about spoilers, just TELL ME WHERE IT IS.... Please, so I can get on with the game. (driving me nuts.)

If this is about the University, I had the same problem. I ended up breaking up the Academy and using the book from there to get the princess educated. I haven't gotten much further than that, but it relieved a lot of frustration just doing it that way. Right or wrong, everyone in my household is happier...

OK, restarted (again not that I'm complaining).
Book 1: In the forest, left by King.
Book 2: Quest reward, Princess for kicking 5 lumberjack keflings.
Book 3: Build the Igloo house gained from building hte Metal Maker to get the third book.
EDIT: Corrected book 2 and clarified book 3.

That's exactly what I had to do in the end. Which is so ridiculous. Having to go through hours of needless time wasting, looking for something that should be this hard to find. Now that I think about it. This was the same problem I had with the first game, and why I never finished it. I was really hoping that they would have fixed the problem in this newer version. Guess not.

Book 3: Build the Igloo house to get the third book. Wait, you restarted the game and found the third book, building an Igloo house? How did you transport it back the Forrest Kingdom? I tried to do that with a heart and it wouldn't let me.

The Igloo house is a 'reward' for completing the metal maker.

Book 2 is given by Princess after the kicking 5 lumberjack keflings quest.
(Unlocked by building wood carver, princess then gives quest for 25 carved wood.)

I had this same problem. The ice house quest never triggered for me so I didn't get the book from the metal trader. I started a new game and it did trigger the second time, so I assume it's just an unfortunate bug...

Hey this info was posted on another thread, but if you build the Metal Trader before you have broken Scoobs out of the crystal, the Forest Snow House blueprint will not unlock. The folks at NinjaBee are looking into the problem. So make sure you break Scoobs out before you build the Metal Trader
