You shouldn't be putting it out there if
we can't get a release date for that long.

I hope thats sarcasm because ninja bee are great with customer relations. Besides its not their fault they can't tell us, its because they are apart of a special event and aren't allowed to say anything. Its all in this thread further up.

no it is not sarcasm.
It's been months on the web
of stringing us along
and now weeks of stringing us
along on Xbox live. I think
it is lousy customer relations.
Stating winter of 2010 is fine.
but let it go, for gosh sakes.
if you don't have something that

Yeah, wow... I apologize again for the long wait. I'll try to explain a bit, and I hope it doesn't make things worse:

1. We certainly thought the game would be done sooner, so when we first started to talk about it publicly, we didn't think it was too early. We simply kept working on the game to make it as solid as we could.

2. Unfortunately, we can't announce the release date or price until we're allowed to. These are the two things that are explicitly off-limits. I admit I think this is a good policy, since developers tend to get a bit antsy and think things will be finished before they really are (see #1). The instant we're allowed to announce a release date, we will.

3. I hope it goes without saying that we were not trying to string anyone along or cause any emotional distress. We've been releasing information about the game from time to time because people keep asking us to!

@ladym30: I'm listening to what you're saying. I'll talk to Andrew about it and see what we can do about this in the future. I hope you're still looking forward to the game. I'm confident you and your family will love it!

@Finanzo and dragonlighting: Thanks for coming to my defense! :)

Aw, I was hoping for a release date, but just knowing you are working on it is enough for me. I still have fun with Kingdom for Keflings, so I can wait. Seeing all the new stuff you packed in makes me excited, though. :D I guess that will just make it better when I can finally get it, huh?

Seriously? Blizzard announced Starcraft 2 in 2007, they finally delivered it in 2010. Diablo III was announced in 2008 and we are still waiting, no release date. Or how about a 2008 teaser about Modern Warfare 2 and no release date announced until 2009. Or how about Microsoft announcing that Joy Ride would be a free game to Gold members for the holidays of 2009 and here it is 2010 and they finally release Joy Ride now for $60 instead of free. How about them apples?

I am positive that Microsoft has Ninja Bee's hands and lips tied with NDAs and contracts. Steve (stay) can't say anything or he would, that I have no doubt.

Look, you are coming on very strong here and accusing Ninja Bee of having poor customer service. Are you kidding? Release dates have nothing to do with customer service, thats part of PR. What other game company do you have games from that the LEAD PROGRAMMER and the COMPANY OWNER will talk to you on the phone, answer your emails, or reply to your posts on forums in a timely manner? None that I have experience with, other than Ninja Bee that is. THAT is customer service.

Sorry, but like it or not, there is always a time to wait after a game starts being hyped until its release is announced and even more wait until it actually hits the street. Its just the way it is and Ninja Bee is no different in this respect except they tend to hit their release date with damn stable games instead of releasing beta versions as release games (Motion Sports, New Vegas and Fable 3 come to mind as beta release examples).

I don't like the wait. Its obvious you don't either. I am looking forward to the game too., there are a lot of us. Take a number and get in line, we are all waiting but we don't take it out on Ninja Bee.

Dear Ninjabee,

I really hope that because of one horrible reply that you will stop informing us of games you are currently developing. One person does not speak for all of us, and though I am getting antsy for the game, at least I know it is in the works. I, for one, appreciate all the hard work you put into all your games. At least you are thoughtful enough to give us information on it so the wait isn't so bad.

I'm as frustrated as anyone by the NDA's and red tape restricting NinjaBee, but be assured that the fault isn't with NinjaBee!
NinjaBee ROCK! (/Scissors/Paper(/Lizard/Spock))
Any chance of a private beta? :P

Man, that'd be great. But my understanding is they do this rarely, and it's expensive. Have you ever seen this on another XBLA game? In any case, yeah, no private beta on AWOK. That would actually be pretty bad schedule news, in my opinion. We're way past beta. :)

Edit: Oh, maybe you meant YOU PERSONALLY getting to play the game early? Sure! Get plane tickets to Utah and we'll let you play the game! :)

This persons moaning that he may have to wait a few months for a video game to come out... I'm just glad he isn't wanting Duke Nukem forever... what is it... 10 years since it was announced? A World Of Keflings will come when it comes...

Found one the week of Christmas and I am on vacation that week. Only $279 round trip. What day is good for you :)

They've said the game will release in 2010, Christmas is the second-to-last week of 2010, so at most you'd be spending $280 to play the game a week early?

And if they release earlier your money is completely wasted. Good plan!

EDIT: They have now officially (finally) announced Dec 22... so you'd be paying lots of extra dough to play it the same week as everyone else.

If I set up a countdown clock to the release date, would that be a little too enthusiastic?
