I'm not the only person looking for the answer to this problem and I believe there may be a bug in the XBox 360 version.

I put the character in the stinky pool and make make him "stinky", but nothing happens. He dies and comes back to talk to others (with the stink color on him) and nothing happens, even gets near the flame to see if he explodes...nothing. He comes back up with the pool stench without washing it off in the clean pool and talks to the character who sent him down there...nothing. I am truly stuck and at the point of giving up on the game.

How do I get beyond this level?

I think it's just a timing thing. You're doing the right thing - get back up to the guy who sent you down there, not touching the clean water on the way, and do it fast. I was really frustrated by this the first time I played, too, but if you just try again and go as fast as you can, it should work.

Well, there is another way...

1. Kick the guy who tells you that you smell "pleasant" twice in the direction of the altar (the one where the perfume opened the gate).

2. Kick the guy who sends you to the pools twice in the same direction. The second guy won't be quite to the left of the gate, but he'll be close enough.

NOTE: If you kick either guy 3 times, he dies and returns to his original position.

3. Go to the stinky pool and hold your character to the bottom until he dies. Your character will come back on the shelf just above the 2 goofy guys you met at the beginning. Make a mad dash to the right and you'll get to the "You smell pleasant" guy just in time.

Yes, I know that won't give you 100% but it sure beats giving up on the game like I almost did. I will revisit the level later.

How did you get the bone on this level--above the perfume altar and just before the "You smell pleasant" guy?

After two weeks stuck on the same objective, I Just gave up and deleted the game. This is the most frustrating, and nerve racking game that I have ever played. I bought it because of the Ninja Bee name, and was expecting something relaxing and fun like the other three games that I own from Ninja Bee. What a total let down. I'll never do that again.
