Xbox.com is running a award program for the top XBL Arcade game in a bunch of categories: Quote: To honor the successes of Xbox LIVE® Arcade developers, Microsoft will announce the recipients of the inaugural Xbox LIVE Arcade Awards - 2007 at the Game Developer Conference in February. Winners will be selected in part based upon popular vote, and fans of Xbox LIVE Arcade games are invited to cast their votes through January 30, 2008.
Award categories that are open for public voting include:
* Best Overall Arcade Game
* Best Classic Game
* Best Original Game
* Best Family Friendly Game
* Best Competitive Multiplayer Game
* Best Cooperative Multiplayer Game I voted for BoB in every category. EDIT: Vote HERE!_________________

Family Friendly? Isn't BoB a little too violent with the flame throwing and drowning and whacking with sticks?  I guess I'll go vote for it too.

Thats a million times worse. Hexic 2 and Pac-Man are listed as choices for "best original" so the specific catergories as a whole don't seem to mean much in general. I know I voted for BoB at least three times this morning, but I have forgotten in which specific catergories. _________________

I voted for BoB in every category but the classic one. BoB obviously doesn't fit under that.

Hmm, I wonder how many people have voted "Yaris" for Best Overall.
Also, speaking about the ESRB, Yaris has a higher rating than Bomberman and Band of Bugs.

Okay, I managed to vote for BoB on two separate computers. I think it has a good shot of winning best original game, unless people vote for Aegis wing just because it was free.

Yeah, I think it's lame that Pac Man won for Original Game--it's not original!!!! It's a re-design of a much older game. Maybe the majority of people who voted for it weren't even alive when PacMan was in arcades and pizza places and so they think it is an original game...Oh well. I guess I can't really say much because I've never played PacMan: CE and for all I know it could really be the best game on the planet, but still. Boo.

Pac-Man CE is a nice update from the original, but if I were to rank redos of older games Space Giraffe and Prince of Persia would be the top contenders.
