What do other game companies do for NDAs during beta tests?

Being sick is no fun, that sucks.

As far as NDAs most of the recent ones have been a digital signature before client download. In the email you recieve your account key or serial number for the client. This then pops up a window which you have to type your digital signature in to confirm. Then you get a follow up letter in the mail which you sign and send back.

Having said that lately I have only been doing closed betas and alphas for MMOs and usually paid ones. Also numerous unrelated companies use similar systems so I am betting it is a service from a separate company.

Printing off a PDF and mailing that in as Sunny suggests would work for me.

So when do we get to know who has been picked and when does it start/end?

Sorry again for the delay on this. We're finishing up some paperwork right now and should get it all worked out by tomorrow.

As of right now, anyone who has asked to be a tester is in. We'll at least give it a shot. The game may not run on everyone's machine, but we'll try it out. Expect an introductory e-mail by the weekend at the latest...

That bug database better look awesome (or contain untold secrets the likes of which man was never meant to see) 'cos I can't access it.

All right. Just so that you know - my school starts next week so I will not be able to play the game for hours a day, but I will still play some. It was unfortunate it could not be this week, but it's ok - I will still get to test it! First week is never THAT busy and I will wanna do a good job to help you people out at NinjaBee...

Just checked and I received an e-mail about registration to the bug database. My last name was spelled correctly in the username, woohoo! Nobody ever gets that right, even if we write it down for them! Wahoo/NinjaBee rocks!

I'll follow the link in that e-mail tomorrow and take a look. I just got home after being out for a while and it is quite late here.

If it's anything like what happened to mine, you might as well follow that link today. It's gonna take you all of five seconds.

Hey everyone, I'm Wahoo's QA lead. I'm also the guy who attempted to grant you access to our bug database. I just got my administrative pass on the database a couple of days ago so I still learning how to rule it with an iron fist... but I will... oh yes... Anyway, when you clicked the link in your confirmation email were you asked to enter a password?

It asked for the username/password...of which I could not get to work.

Alright Static, I'm going to use you as my test subject. I'm going to reset your password. You should (hopefully) get an email confirming said password has been sent. You should then (again hopefully) be able to access the database with this password. Please Let me know if this works, or if it doesn't...

As far as I can tell, It does not work still. After the link click, it takes me to the password dialog box. Again, I get a bad credential error. If I am a dunce, I will wear the hat, but I think I did everything correct.
