K here's my map
Info:
Name: Kitten Lair
Players: 4
Type: Capture
Size: 11X12
Environment: leafy
Description: Everyone has a stationary catapult at there base, they can protect there teammates base and the road. You and your teammate must rush to your rivals base, chose a what one to take over, and the point of entry. Rush in and face the catapults as well as enemy units? Or take out the safer (but still deadly) way and take down the artifact that act as blockades to the bases capture point. While you watch out for your own. Will you rush in as your friend protects your bases? Or will you both rush in. The decision is yours.

Funny how just before I was going to post my entry I had to eat and when I came back you posted this :P . Anyway sorry about the whole 360 breaking.

Sorry for the 2 posts in a row. Didn't want to add a decision post into my entry post .

Hello everyone,

I heard about this level design contest on a couple of forums and decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, I was only able to secure images using a digital camera on my television set and must admit that they aren't very flattering. So please, try to not hold that against me. I decided to compensate the poor images with a more detailed description, but I will try to keep it down lengthwise.

Here we go:

The level I designed is called 'Bug Arena', for lack of many word choices. I think the name 'Rat Race' would better suit it.

The stage is completely bisymmetrical down to the smallest detail. The stage is divided by a wood post fence that prevents one team from invading the other side. The idea is for each team to race to the 'escape' door at the other end.

Image
(This photo shows the fence and the two sides of the battlefield)

Each team has a fire mage, and ice mage, a healer and an artillery bug. Now although they cannot fight head on, they are able to shoot spells and ranged attacks to the other side.

The selling point of this map however is stuggle of strategy that takes place. The most direct path to the exit is through water tiles. The idea is to freeze the tiles to reach the end before your opponent, but plan carefully! The other team has the ability to melt your ice before you can venture across. Each battle is an exchange of progresses and sabotages.

Image
(Here, one side has created an ice bridge, but the enemy Fire Mage is about to lay waste to it!)

There you go,
It is hard to properly explain it, but if you played it, you would have a better idea.

Wow,

Sorry about the photo sizes, I figured photobucket would have formatted them better.

Unless we get one more, there won't be a need for judges! We've already narrowed it down to three.

Hopefully people are just refining their levels before submittal.

I'm trying to get in contact with Sunnycool and AC91, seeing as they're the only ones who have played my maps out of you guys. They haven't used the forum in a while, maybe they're vacationing?

Or they hate me... :(

If I could get a hold of AC and get your map online, I'll post some pics for ya. I usually see him online, so I'll see what's up.

Yeah - sorry man - I am also annoyed myself (I was looking forward to Red Kingdom and all)...

I just realized I won't be able to play the maps either (for the competition), making me unable to judge -dammit!

I'll hopefully be posting a map shortly. I've had a ton of fun with it. Have it set up for 2 on 1 right now, but can easily be a great 1 on 1 map. Taking photos at this very moment.
