Yeah I have a list of games I want to find out more about, hoping E3 helps with that.

and some game I believe is called Halo? is that it?

Almost positive I will buy Mass Effect and Blue Dragon pre-order and possibly Bioshock if my budget allows (that is State Fair time which means my gaming funds will be thin).

The rest I am trying to not get into the hype frenzy for. I am sure the sequels on the list will be good (possibly amazing), but there is still no way they can live upto the hype that is being generated.

I heard that Alan Wake was not due until 2008. Which was weird since we've been hearing about it for so long.

Then again, how long have we had to hear about how amazing Spore is gonna be? By the time that game comes out I'll just let my personal A.I. play the game for me and just tell me how awesome it is.

Tomacco over at XBLArcade thinks Marathon might be this week's game. I'm inclined to think that is big enough news to hold for E3 (even if we did get the info leaked thanks to the USK ). Any other ideas?

Unless spore is coming out on consoles, forget about it. My Laptop is pretty powerful, but has a built-in graphics card. Whenever I run a compatibility check, everything is above average, except for the all important graphics card. I don't even think I can add one to it. Oh well. I don't game on computers anyway.

I do think Marathon is a good thought. Even though they are free online, it would still be good on an Xbox.

Rock Band and GH III! I forgot about those when I posted earlier. I am really wanting to know pricing and get some screens or Rock Band. GH 3 I need some songs or something awesome. I figure I will get both anyway.

Currently Spore keeps switching from fiscal 2009 to delayed indefinatley depending on which EA rep you believe. I have my doubts that it will be released at this point since a working demo was shown back in 2005. It seems to be heading the way of SimMars and SimVilla. I hope it doesn't turn into vaporware.

I stick with my bet for the this weeks release from above. Bomberman or Wing Commander. War World would be more fun though.

GH III songs? Here ya go!

Apparently, the Rock Band bundle (all instruments) will be around $200 or so. I think that's a pretty credible rumor. But between that and my lust for the new wireless Guitar Hero III controller, I am screwed.

Yeah, I personally want something out of left field that I haven't even heard a PEEP about. I like that kind of stuff.

Then again, the DOOM announcement was sorta leaked too...so that makes me believe the Marathon idea even more. (And sure it's on PCs for free...but without achievements, and the power of Xbox Live multiplayer.)

Thanks for the Rock Band screens! Seems like the UI will be alright I guess. Only gripe (which may not be a problem) is that they mized around the colors for the drums. I hope it won't mess me up at all. I guess it is more by location anyway.

Also, the little bars that line up look smaller than the circles of GH. I hope it doesn't make it harder.

With my luck these will release right near each other like DDR Universe and Guitar Hero II. I ended up getting both of those though...

I figure I will buy GH III with just the disc this time, and buy the $200 set for Rock Band, or try to find a drum only one.

Here it is. Unfortunately they are using the Xplorer controllers, so you can't check out the new guitar. The drum looked easy enough, until I figured out that the orange line was a bass pedal. That might take some practice.

By the way, what do you guys think of this picture? Rumor has it that MS will unveil a cheaper than Core 360... but why?

They also talk about their being the 3 normal SKUs on there, a Core, Premium, and Elite. Well, two of them are Premium with no Core present. They both have HDD and a chrome disc tray. No telling what is up.

My bet is IPTV designed 360 with DVR capabilities.

So the four skus would be Elite, IPTV, Premium with the new large HDD and premium with small HDD and wired control to replace the core. This would eliminate a lot of griping about 360s not having HDDs standard and developers unhappy about that.

Also MSDN has had a lot of media deployment related articles lately about streaming and media rights controls. It seems to around the topics of on demand deployment. There is a digital media deployment connections conference in Roseville (St Paul suburb) which I got a big packet about in the mail today. It had a schedule revolving around deployments such as IPTV. I think it is MS's next big content push now that they have courted a few games away from PS3 exclusives.

By the way, Lunar, you are my new hero!!! Thanks for this news!!! Those were the two games I was really into as a kid! I was a huge Sega Genesis fan when I was younger! I had an NES, but these were really the games that got me into gaming!!!! I hope that rumor is true so much! I have wanted Sonic and Golden Axe for a long time.

Now that I think about it, the whole retro gaming on the 360 might be working. See, all of the retro games on Arcade I never owned... except for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3*, which I owned. Now with Sonic and Golden Axe on the way, which I will buy asap, I am figuring it out. I don't know about ya'll, but I am getting suckered into buying the games I spent a lot of time on as a kid. If they can get a wide audience, I am sure that is the reason these crap games are getting big sales. One mans trash is anothers treasure I guess. Nostalgia wins!

*Technically my version wasn't cool enough to be Ultimate, so I was just a normal MK3 fan. Same game basically...

OH, I would buy both of those instantly if true. I had Golden Axe on 5.25" floppy way back when. I never actually owned a Genesis personally.

As far as retro gaming goes as a whole I would have a lot more of the games such as Centipede and Missle Command if I could find a good controller, I want a nice solid arcade style joystick but the only one I can find is the Madcatz which I have only heard bad things about. Forget the Hori as they cost over $100 used. Might cave and get the Madcatz though soon as I still have some of an Amazon gift certificate left, but not enough for a new $60 game.
