I've been practicing and I'm pretty decent at the game now. My main problem is switching to the 5th fret button, but that improves with every day passing. I got the X-plorer controller and it has been great so far.

So, who else has it? I'd like to test my skills online but I don't want to get crushed by people who have been playing it since day 1, so I figured finding some of you around here that has it might work a bit better. I am really looking forward to some guitar battles online. I loved the ones in the career and I keep replaying them

I got Rock Band for Christmas, and that is how I am right now too!

I will play you online sometime though GameMaster. I haven't played GH3 online yet actually. Everytime I tried to join a quickmatch it froze for me, but my friend easily joined a co-op game on it one time. What difficulty are you playing on right now?

I did play Rock Band online last night, and it's pretty sweet. I had to "save" my friend's stepbrother because he failed. One of the coolest features of the game. I also love the single player Band World Tour. With the addition of singing, I can actually get my sisters to play co-op with me!

I started off on Medium and eventually five-starred all of those songs, so I moved to Hard. I have beaten every song, maybe 3/4 four-starred and 1/4 three-starred besides Raining Blood and One (need to replay some, I got better). The moshes kill me in a split second! I'll get fast enough to play them, just a matter of time. In the meanwhile I started on Expert and only passed the first two lists so far. I've done OK, enough to pass without throwing my guitar across the room.

I'll definitely be on playing again tomorrow, AC. If I see you on I'll send you a private chat invite.

I've noticed GH3 online has a habit of freezing, myself.

I am getting on now, so maybe some of us can finally meet up. I'll keep an eye out.

Well, I played with Lifeforce earlier today. We did I think one co-op session at 7 songs, two battle sessions at 7 songs each, one face-off at 3 songs, and a pro face-off at 3 songs. I destroyed him in the non-co-op stuff

You are close to my skill though, Lifeforce. A little bit more practice and you'll be right there with me. But all around it was a very fun time. The online rocks! I'm itching to do some more, so somebody get online!!

Eh, I have it but a) am still only on medium and need lots more practicing to play with the likes of all ya'll, b) do not have a gold membership so I couldn't play online anyway (though I'm considering forking out the $50 just so I can get some of those achievements...) and c) if you read my sob story-post in The Orange Box topic, my xbox is broken and will be for a while longer. Looks like I'll have to wait to join in the fun

So I didn't realize how random people could be jerks about Guitar Hero in stores. I walked in Best Buy with my friend who had never played Guitar Hero, and he started playing a song on easy. Two different people at different times came by and said he sucked so bad at it, and it was his first time! I was offended for him.

Geeze. Maybe the downside to feeling like a big fancy rock star is you start acting like one, too.

So, I was listening to my ipod and a sweet song I hadn't heard in a long time came on: I Believe in a Thing Called Love by the Darkness. And I thought to myself, "Man, this would make a SWEET Guitar Hero Song!", so I went to search it on YouTube and sure enough, someone else had thought the same thing as me and had actually hacked the game (how you do that, I have NO idea!) and made the song playable! So my question is a) how does one do that (not that I'd try, I'm just intrigued)? b)Is it illegal? c)If it's not, can you share those "custom" songs over Live? and d)If it IS illegal, is there a way we can suggest songs to the creators/developers?

Just wondering. Thought I'd stir up some conversation and controversy. Enjoy!

You hack the ps2 version of the game by swapping the songs on the disk, and changing the note chart. It has to be the ps2 version since it's easier to hack then the 360. Technically it's not illegal, but most companies don't want you doing it.
Although the X-box live agreement says something about no hacked consoles when playing live.

Also, if you have the PC version, you can very easily add custom songs to it with a nifty little piece of software somebody developed. There is definitely nothing illegal about doing that as long as you own the song you are playing.

I am actually creating my own note chart right now for a song created for this mod I am a beta tester/mapper for. It's called Last Man Standing and it's for Doom 3. Have I mentioned it before? Not really sure.

I have only created notes for the first 40 or 50 seconds but it is looking good so far. The song is also able to be distributed at will since it was made by a small band specifically for the mod, so when I finish it I'm going to spread it around and make a video of me playing it. Wish me luck!

Well since the GH III achievement list pissed me off so much I haven't bothered getting it...but I'm seeing enough of you people out there with Rock Band that we seriously need a NinjaBee Supergroup to form...like pronto!
