Jeremy's right - that's a typo. I double-checked (in a cold sweat) the times to be put in the title update, and they're correct. Level 3 is 9:30. Sorry about that.

We're playtesting the title update, and the new times all seem doable...

So is that the only time that is off?

Thankfully, it looks like it is. However, we are still debating whether or not to change a few of the times, so what ships may be slightly different. For instance, this morning stay and I were discussing how we _may_ loosen up the gold medal time for the eight port challenge.

In regards to some of the times being blown away by current scores on the Leaderboards (sorry I didn't answer this before): It's important that any of the gold medal times are possible without using the repair glitch. Consequently, we have to be cautious with some of the gold medal times. A perfect example is The Crucible - It is much easier through the use of the glitch, and while Badfish 07 may not have employed the glitch we have to assume that he did. He also has an insane score that we don't think everyone should have to meet to gain a gold. It should be a challenge, not something that causes people to want to throw bricks though our windows :)

I just saw that Crucible time from Badfish 07...

I used to have the #1 on that scenario...and now I've got *six minutes* to try to make up...crazy!

The asteroid levels also depend a LOT on luck so I'm sure that not only is Badfish skilled (and using the repair glitch most likely) but also lucky. Seems like a perfect storm...sigh. Dunno if I'll ever be able to beat that one.

Used to have over 10 #1s on OKX...whittled down to 3...I gotta get back to playing it more.

Back on topic, the gold medal times should indeed be held to the original game design despite us tinkering with glitches and such IMHO. And I personally like it when I played through the game the first time that I rarely got gold immediately with my first attempt, but the second or third attempt was usually all I needed. It gave me a bit of a challenge, but not a "brick meets window" type challenge.

Then if I wanted to torture myself and try to get a #1 time, I could always do that on my own in addition to the quest for Gold Medal times. :)

Honestly I'm still pretty amazed at anyone who holds the number 1 time on any level - the fact that you have three (and had 10) is crazy... I've given up hope of ever having #1 on any leaderboard on any game. I had #1 for a few hours on Bounty Hunter, I think. :)

I had a #1 time on Time splitters FP. but someone beat me :(.
I had alot of high times in OPX but people beat me after a while.
So are you fixing the repair glitch in the patch? Or anyother glitches
I don't know about?

I liked the trial of this but the bugged achievements put my off getting the full version. Maybe I will pick this up once the patch is out.

Regarding the repair glitch:

This may be the only known bug we don't fix.

1. There are many leaderboards with scores gotten with this glitch now. If we fix it, those scores could forever be out of reach, which seems pretty unfair.

2. On the other hand, we don't want to reset the leaderboards. That would suck.

3. It's not a huge bug - you can still have a lot of fun with the game with or without it, and sure, it changes the leaderboard race, but I think that cat's already out of the bag. And, it doesn't affect some levels as much as others.

4. As marmosetofdeath says, we're making sure you can always get a gold time even without the repair glitch, so people can play without it and still get medals and achievements.

Typo... wheew!

I'm not trying to complain about the times, it's just I don't want to have to follow/copy what xxxxx did just to get Gold. Rather do it my own way.

90% of the new times are within reach given I properly plan & execute for each level so I think the new times are reasonable.

As far a 8-Port Challenge, I'm at 59:33 right now (Gold!) and could cut it back a few more minutes so an hour is fine but please don't drop it down under 50-55 min. Then I'd be in serious trouble.

I bumped it up to 1:10 and 1:30 for gold/silver times for Eight Port Challenge. This is a minor shift for gold, but should include a lot more people in the gold ranks.

Can't seem to get my time anywhere under 50 minutes on this one, any quick hints on building up cash faster?
At the moment I just build two basic from each field, two/three glitched hangers, and enough power for everything. Then switch off buildings as certain demands drop and raise...

But I check out for all gold, so can't wait to replay the game agian for them. =)

The quick answer is that bright green is primary needs met, dark green is secondary needs met, bright red is primary needs unmet, dark red is secondary needs unmet. Since secondary needs are an indicator of what a visitor will want as soon as (if) his primary need is met, it's a sort of indicator of the future...

But that's not quite right, since dark green is also if you're oversatisfying a need. So, if you want the details, try this thread:

Thanks as always Stay.

Do you also have an E-mail address I can post some XBLA ideas too.
The Market place is lacking in class games like outpost and I think we need to throw our ideas M$ way to let them know what us the gamers want.

Just realised Cloning Clyde is one of the Enhancements on the Arcade Expansion very crafty.

You could mail ideas to arcade@microsoft.com. That's the place where developers try to get their ideas picked up. If you just want to yell about what you'd like to see more of, as a gamer, that address might do fine...
