The Eets game for pc looks great, could you see yourself porting it to Xbox 360?

Yeah, I can't port it, but I would say yes, it would be a great game, with some tweaking to make it controller friendly.

It's true...I know.
But seriously, when does that MS initiative start where if you buy it on XBLA you also get it on your cellphone and your PC. That's what I can't wait for!! (If it ever hold up to be true...I mean it should since they mentioned it at E3...)

Did you see the announcement that MS is giving out tools to make your own games?
Probably harder than it sounds though...

I am anxious to hear what stay has to say after coming back from GameFest. Maybe he'll have an insider perspective on the whole thing...
But yeah, free tools (the beta at least) is a very cool thing. It's scary when the terms "open" and "Microsoft" go together...like we've entered an alternate dimension...it's been happening more and more lately...and I, for one, am excited. Not that I can code worth a damn...maybe I should learn C#?!?

Well, anything you create is basically going to be owned by MS...so...yeah.
They are in it for the money. I would be too though

Sounds like this may be a sort of false alarm in coolness. I read on Joystiq, it cost $99 a year to not only make the 360 games, but to PLAY THEM! So for me, who will mostly use it to PLAY the games that people make, I would have to pay up an additional $99 a year on top of my Xbox Live account just to get these. That = a lot of money for what will mostly be flash-type Newground-ish games. Of course some will rock, but I don't want to pay $99 just for those games!

No, I don't think thats right AC. It costs money for the licensing issues to publish your games for profit, and to use the pro version. Think of the other ones as "lite" versions.
Maybe i'm wrong too, but I can't check up on it, because i'm on my psp now.

The $99 a year gets you into the "creator club" which does give you access to games that other creators post up for feedback. The free stuff is just the beta and won't allow you to post code or retrieve code (that I know of) as that could create some serious problems (i.e. crap games galore, buggy code, code that causes problems/viruses, etc.)
Ultimately, as a gamer, this won't really interest you as much since (as you said AC91) these will be rough cut concept games that may or not be that great. Obviously the idea is that the cream will rise to the top and MS can publish any exciting games within the XBLA platform for the 360 and the MSN Zone on the web/windows platforms.
More at the Gamerscoreblog. (Yes, $49 for four months, $99 for a year -- both payable in "Microsoft Points")

lol
Actually around 8000 ($100/$20 * 1600), unless you get them from GameStop which is around 6400 ($100/$25 * 1600). Man GameStop sucks.
So um... you're right. I shut up now.
