We kept it out of the tool specifically because we don't have the resources to test all the different possible resolutions people would want us to support through the entire game for each resolution. The choice was: A) Ship a few resolutions, but all of them supported 100% or B) Ship the game supporting every resolution under the sun and let the game look crappy to some of the people running it. With these things in mind, it was pretty easy to go with A and support option B quietly by allowing these ini values to be manually edited.

Well, 1920x1080 (1080p) is pretty common these days due to it also being the standard in most monitors and HDTV's these days. That resolution should have been tested.

I would wager that 1920x1080 (1080p) is more common than 1280x1024.

According to w3schools.com, 1280x1024 is more than twice as common as 1920x1080 - although, the balance is shifting.

It does seem strange, however, that a port of an Xbox 360 game would not be tested for 1920x1080.

I've got a question about the multiplayer modes-why PC version of Cloning Clyde has only single-player mode? The PC could with no problem handle with multiplayer-online or hot-seat.

That's a good question. In the end it comes down to resources. Multiplayer testing is a huge problem, especially on PC, as there can be all kinds of hardware involved. On Xbox everyone is using the same hardware, and communicating through Xbox Live, which just makes it a lot easier to deal with. In the end it came down to wanting to make the single-player as good for PC as we could, rather than trying to include everything at reduced overall quality.
