I've looked all over the place, but can't find it. Also, what does the "Desert Kigdim Gate" need to be fixed? I can't tell what the item is.

You'll get magic powder by converting gems from the witches cottage at the wizards lair.

I'm pretty sure you get the desert gate piece after building the monstorous perch.
