My wife and I started working on this game last night (after using a unofficial trick to download/buy the game).
We played through the first area and opened the first gateway. At one point we were told to pick up a blueprint which appeared to be under a glowing "Frosty" snowman that we couldn't pick up.
We tried all sorts of things to try and move or melt Frosty to no avail. Then my wife was hanging out near him and magically got the blueprint. We're not sure what she did to get it. Anyway, we were able to move on, it was just a little awkward not knowing how to get that and then getting it without knowing how.

This is actually a training moment, not a problem or bug. If you read the instructions given at that time, it tells you to go to the snowman and press (B) to scroll through selectable items near you. Its teaching you how to select, for example, workers instead of the node they are mining or trees they are chopping or the lumber they just chopped.
Anyway, when you are near several objects, press (B) to scroll through the selectable items.

Interesting. I had figured out the b-button thing already, but it was not clear that I could apply that in that situation, given that the b-button thing helped me to choose between two things next to each other (such as a kefling and a pile of ice), but had never been used to grab a hidden object before.
