I found about AWoK a little while ago when I saw the avatar items pop up on Xbox Live. I have to say that I am extremely excited. I can't wait for this game to be released. I have been a fan on Keflings since the day AKFK was released on XBLA. It was new and looked interesting so I DLed a demo. Not even 10 minutes later I bought it. Its simple but so fun and addictive. My girlfriend and I both put countless hours into the game. My first Xbox 360 went RRoD while I was trying to get my Kefling fix lmao. I was REALLY pissed at that one. Thankfully it was still under 3 year RRoD warranty (by 1 day. No lie. Seriously.) I was happy when I got the replacement. You bet AKFK was the first game I played when I got it back AWoK is definately going to be a day 1 buy for me. @Stay I noticed your the voice of ninjabee here on the forums. You guys need to keep up the good work and also I hope you guys stay as dedicated as you are now. You guys put alot of love into your games and it shows. Not just that, but you guys definately stay connected with your fan base, which is totally awsome. Proof of that is that you are always here in the forum and you practically tag every thread. Further proof is that I am sure you will find your way here and leave a comment on this thread too Keep it up. This is exactly the kind of thing more developers should do. I know its not just you that keeps an eye and ear open. I had the pleasure of talking to another ninjabee team member on the Xbox forums before, Dajuse. Dajuse is always on the AKFK forum and he is always helping people out. You just don't get that kind of help from tech support lol. Dajuse had pointed something out to me that I had no idea about before. He told me about how male and female Keflings each have their own strengths. Males harvest rock and crystal faster and females harvest lumber and wool faster. That little juicy tidbit he shared with me was really a game changer for me lol So keep up the good work and please take your time with AWoK. Make it the best game that it can be ok?

Great, now I have to refrain from commenting on this thread just to prove you wrong... Wait... CRAP!!! Seriously, though, thanks very much for the detailed comments and feedback! I enjoy talking to people who play our games, especially when they say nice things about them. I'm glad to know dajuse is hanging out in the xbox.com forums. I do from time to time as well, but before the title update I got so depressed by the posts about frame rate issues that I couldn't bring myself to go there. Dajuse was the team lead on AKFK and is the lead on AWOK as well, so he knows the game backwards and forwards. I think very few people know the male/female trick - you have to have picked it up in forums or from playing with one of us online, I guess. Anyway, thanks again for all the comments!

@Stay Lol see I knew you would find your way here eventually. It's nice to know you guys got a sense of humor too. I had no idea Dajuse was the team lead on AKFK. That's pretty cool. When he told me about the male/female trick I was like Wow. You guys are crafty! lol. I tried to share that with as many people as I could. I wish I had the skills to work on games like you guys. I know just how difficult it can be though. I have had experience working on a PHP browser game as a writer doing news articles and story events. I worked right along side the owner of the game, who did most of the PHP coding himself. I tried to get into PHP myself but it is difficult lol. I had really enjoyed seeing my work go into a game that people really enjoy so I know how awsome it feels to hear that positive feedback. That sucks that those comments about frame rate issues got you down. Hopefully stuff like that won't get you down next time. Just keep moving forward and when issues like that come up work hard on fixing the problem. You guys will have those problems fixed in no time. Cause you know that when AWoK comes out I will have it on day 1 and i will be in here letting you guys know if I come across any bugs or issues lmao. I hope you won't be extremely depressed then lol.

Well, let's not kid ourselves, dajuse doesn't actually have any skills, unless you count Yelling Real Loud... Regarding bugs: Well, we're doing our best to do a solid release here, which of course is part of why it's taking so long. That combined with me learning not to take everything so seriously will hopefully result in less stress this time around.

Out of curiosity, how large is the team that worked on AKFK and AWoK? stay wrote: Regarding bugs: Well, we're doing our best to do a solid release here, which of course is part of why it's taking so long. I don't think that the people who enjoyed AKFK would expect anything less of you guys, regardless of the time I know I want AWoK to be a solid release and I am sure it will be, and that takes time and effort. Of course if I find any bugs your going to be the first person I yell at lol j/k if some bugs are found don't go pulling out your hair lol. I know it's easier said than done but keeping a cool head will help you deal with it better. You guys will do fine and AWoK will be a great game so no sense in worrying about it I have a feeling that you guys might just have it up on Live in December, before Christmas. I'm not willing to put any money on that though lol. Also I think it will probably come in at 1200 MS points or $15. Again, just a feeling I have. I wouldn't mind paying $20 for it though

It varied wildly. AKFK started as a game in a day project, with 3 people, then we had maybe 2-3 people working on an early version, and eventually grew to 11 or 12 people. AWOK has a similar history, but peaking out a bit bigger. I'd say we've had at peak 15 people working on it at once, not counting music and localization and QA, some of which is contracted out. That's pretty cool. I didn't think the team would have been so small. I figured maybe like 30-40 people. I guess I shoulda checked the credits huh? lol I am 28, and have been playing games since I was 2 (Atari 2600). It's incredible what this generation of systems can do. Xbox Live has really bought so much to gaming and made it possible for small developers like Ninja Bee to really show their talent. I have to say that Keflings have made Ninja Bee my fav small developer. I've played some other awsome games on Live but no other game has held my attention and consistantly brought me back for more like AKFK has. stay wrote: It's a relief to know you've got our back! Oh absolutely! I have recommended AKFK to as many of my friends on Live as possible and no doubt I will do the same with AWoK. I know I might just be some faceless guy on the internet but if I could help you guys out in any way I will do what I can, which means buying your game and spreading the word If there is ever anything else I can do (within my power of course lol) all you guys gotta do is say the word

It's my pleasure. I'm glad that I can spread the word about AKFK and AWoK. AKFK is a wonderful and addictive game that deserves recognition. I know AWoK will be just as good if not better
